Yes, Micah 7 is helpful language to trust God even through we are living in a sad situation. Micah believed that eventually God would reverse Israel’s doom toward captivity. The thought was a full admission of guilt, but still a call for the enemy to not gloat. Though the situation was despairing, verse 9 declares the Lord to be the light. It's like God's judgment was the means by which they may be restored. I appreciate John A. Martin's summary on these verses: "The enemy (pagan nations) taunted Israel with the question, Where is the LORD your God? (cf. Pss. 42:3, 10; 79:10; Joel 2:17) But God will vindicate His own, for Israel’s enemies will fall and be trampled (be humiliated; cf. Micah 7:17)."

Oh... 😁And what's not to love about "Celebrate Jesus Celebrate!" 😁 Complete with the trumpets doing their thing - full band; full choir.... Don Moen... 😁(just a lighthearted side note... ) I even "got me some happy" directing a small choir when singing that one! Seattle days...

My husband and I must have been in the prayer room visiting one of, if not the first set, you led. My husband was so moved by what was "flowing from your heart," off the stage, filling the room - and also wondered about the guitar you were holding/playing☺️.

And, I remember tuning in on what was your "last set." Aching. But finding you leading the next morning, & calling down the hallway to the room where my husband was, "It's Ruben!"

Thank you for remaining faithful, even now. Your words give language for us, saying what we have not had (or have, still) the ability to speak. 😭

I don't know if my words suffice for all, but i know that there is a large group of people, like myself, who have not felt represented in the saga. not that this is about us, but .. it kind of is..
